New Zealand’s highest honor award for Chinese medicine was awarded to Chinese medicine practitioners for the first time
Chinese TCM practitioner Thomas Lin has recently won the highest honor in New Zealand’s TCM community in 2020-the William Wong Doo Award, which was established since the award. This is the first time ever since it was awarded to a Chinese practitioner.
This award is named as William Wong Doo (王炳才), the founding president of the Acupuncture New Zealand. William established New Zealand’s first Chinese medicine clinic in Auckland in 1939. This award only awards one person each year who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of Chinese medicine in New Zealand. Winners must be nominated by members of the Acupuncture New Zealand, and the finally result is made by the council for voting.
